Comment:

 khc also pointed out to me that if you don't save passwords, you will be
 prompted to enter the password when you click "Re-enable."  We can't
 realistically just force the user to re-enter his/her password whenever
 there's *any* auth failure--perfect example is that AIM has recently been
 failing for a number of users, but waiting a minute or two and
 reconnecting '''without changing the saved password''' works perfectly.

 In short, this is part "out of date" and part "wontfix".  I'll mark this
 "worksforme."
