Old description:

New description:

 When right-clicking a group and selecting "Show when offline", and then
 right-clicking an offline buddy from that group, the option "Hide when
 offline" is presented in the popup menu, instead of the option "Show when
 offline".  Hence it's not possible from the GUI to change an offline
 buddy's "Show when offline"-status in this way.  The behaviour does NOT
 occur if one uses "Buddies > Show > Offline buddies" to show all offline
 buddies instead of those from a single group.  (Another workaround is to
 manually edit blist.xml and change the buddy's 'show_offline' setting.)

Comment:

 I looked into it further and indeed the erroneous behavior I described
 does not happen when you select "Buddies > Show > Offline Buddies" from
 the buddy list menu bar.  However, it does occurs when you right-click a
 group, select "Show when offline" (for the group), and then right-click an
 offline buddy from the group.  I have modified the bug report to reflect
 this.
