Comment:

 I've compiled Pidgin 2.3.1 but with everything else the same version as
 before. I haven't seen any crashes today but I haven't used it much today
 and the crashes are not predictable (sometimes several times per day and
 sometimes only a few times per week) so it's too early to tell. I'll
 continue to use 2.3.1 and see what happens...
