 I am extremely busy with other things, and the build system I use to build
 the RPMs blew up, and I have nowhere near enough time to figure it out
 fully and get it completely operational again right now.

 I managed to make CentOS/RHEL RPMs and these should be available in the
 repo now or shortly. I don't know when (or even if) I will make Fedora
 RPMs but Pidgin 2.5.5 has already been pushed as an update to currently
 maintained Fedora releases (9 & 10) anyway.

 No, RHEL/CentOS RPMs won't work on Fedora, but the src.rpm is up too and
 you could rebuild that yourself on Fedora 7.
