 Are you actually using 2.5.5 or an older version? This problem has, in
 99.99% of the cases, gone away with a doctor's prescription of libpurple
 2.5.5.

 (Side effects may include an affinity for flying rats, cute little
 finches, and ducks. Talk to your doctor about whether libpurple 2.5.5 is
 right for you).
