 I have some additional info that might perhaps help developers figure out
 this problem. The problem that the original poster described above happens
 to me mostly when some people leave the room and are reinvited. The
 official YM client is far from perfect, and will occasionally disconnect.
 When that happens, you'll have to reinvite people in. And that's when the
 problem starts. This also affects Meebo.

 The only time the conference is sure to be working perfectly is when you
 first create the conference (through official YM, where you can invite
 many people at the same time). At any point where there has been an
 additional invite, weird things start to happen.
