 Steps to reproduce:
  1. In Interface Preferences, set "Show system tray icon" to "Never"
  2. Close the Buddy List window via your window manager
  3. Note that Pidgin is still running but it is impossible to re-open the
 Buddy List window.  Each of these methods fail to resurrect the Buddy List
 window:
        * Executing pidgin from the command line while Pidgin is running.
        * Killing pidgin
        * Executing pidgin when no other copy of Pidgin is running

 I was finally able to access the Buddy List by calling a DBUS method.  The
 average user does not know about DBUS and will not be able to make their
 Buddy List appear again, making this a serious bug in my opinion.
