 I don't use Pidgin, but I use libPurple for my own application. I have the
 same problem after updated to version 2.5.5.
 Looking into libPurple source code I found '''ssl_nss_read()''' method
 that causes the crash at this line:
 {{{
 PurpleSslNssData *nss_data = PURPLE_SSL_NSS_DATA(gsc);
 }}}
 probably because '''gsc->private_data''' is NULL for me.
 But, I don't know how to fix it.
