Comment:

 Claiming that we are misusing GStreamer by calling a public API function
 is a bit insane. I don't know enough to judge the merits of the
 fork/reap/spawn discussion at the moment though.

 I've commented on the GNOME bug with a little (hopefully correct)
 information about the pidgin situation with GStreamer.

 I think we can probably close this ticket since as far as I'm concerned if
 GStreamer fixed the issue and the issue was "caused" by pidgin calling
 perfectly normal public GStreamer API then it is not a pidgin problem.
