 Unfortunately I can't find an option in Pidgin's settings to disable the
 buddy icons. I can only deactivate the buddy icon animation in "Tools ->
 Settings -> Conversation", but not the buddy icons completely.

 It would be nice, if these buddy icons could be disabled.

 I'm using Pidgin 2.5.5.
