 > First, I had to add "#define PURPLE_PLUGINS" at the beginning of the
plugin to get it to work correctly, otherwise it would complain about it
not calling purple_init_plugin, was this intended to be in there in the
 first place?
 > Second, Is there a reason that it does not hide the buddies all right
away? it hides them all as soon as the arrow indicating they signed on
goes away (i noticed this immediately when it initially showed all of the
mobile buddies on my list, then removed them all one by one as the arrow
 cleared), is that intended?

It doesn't have #define cause on my linux machine, I didn't see any such
 warning/error message.
Second one was intended. I think that is better. I mean cases where you
are watching buddy list or something, its better to know who is going
away/buddy/offline etc. Think inactive plugin as adding a control over who
 would you treat as offline.
