 Thanks - The full backtrace is in place now.

 Confirmed, the culprit is XMPP. The account is now disabled by default -
 Pidgin works fine. As soon as I ask it to connect (I am using a jabber.org
 account, so I'd expect it to be valid), Pidgin dies.
