 I'm having a problem similar to [http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/8712
 this issue]...[[BR]]
 Pidgin segfaults every time I try to start it (Xubuntu 8.10). Strangely,
 the problem goes momentarily away if I delete the contents of
 ~/.gstreamer-0.10, but the next time I run it, it crashes again.
