Comment:

 We display when the status is intended to be offline, we do not display
 when we have a reconnection attempt pending, we do display when a
 reconnection attempt is occuring. The reason being we display the
 currently requested status, a pending reconnection attempt is an error
 situation we are attempting to fix and as such does not require display,
 an ongoing connection does warrant displaying.

 It is true, however, that if reconnections continually fail the user may
 never know it, but knowing it would only be of minor use as it is unlikely
 they will be able to fix it (if their internet connection is in fact
 broken, and if it isn't broken then pidgin should eventually reconnect).
