I installed the MusicTracker plugin recently. I know you don't deal with
support with third party plugins, but either way. So I installed it, and
it didn't work (my custom emoticons still worked). I start pidgin today,
plugin still enabled, and my custom emoticons are still in the list but
won't trigger in MSN. I can see my friends' custom emoticons but not mine!
Attempted fixes:
Disable MusicTracker, restart, no luck.
Remove MusicTracker's .dll, restart, no luck.
Change smiley theme to none, then back to normal, no luck.
Readding / adding new emoticons, no luck.
Update: It is not a crashing error. A debug log wouldn't produce any
results. My custom emoticons aren't in the Smile! list in the chat window,
and aren't responding to chat triggers. For exammple, one such as :awes
that worked a few days ago, will simply come up in plain text as :awes
instead of an image emoticon.
Update #2: I ran the pidgin 2.5.5 installer again and it fixed the issue!
