 basically Pidgin is very good for simple IM with yahoo! since there seems
 to be no interruptions from the mail side which is what I need as I use
 the mail side as well but only when I want to see it (emails).

 The above post if implemented I believe would give further options for
 Pidgin IM, since as far as I am aware it is the only program that does
 these pounce type behaviours and I even asked Microsoft to do it but of
 course it was ignored.
