 If this is in fact a GTK+ bug fixed in 2.17.x, then we will have to wait
 for 2.18.0 to come out to ship a fix for Windows users (we don't like
 using development releases unless it's an absolute necessity).  I agree,
 the ticket should be closed, but let's leave it open until we can ship a
 GTK+ 2.18.x for Windows.
