Comment:

 This request is best implemented as a plugin.  Currently we as Pidgin
 developers are not interested in implementing it.  This ticket remains
 open as an invitation for someone to write a plugin fulfilling the
 request.[[BR]]I feel this is something that should be provided by a plugin
 and not by pidgin itself, a plugin is fully capable of doing this, with
 arbitrarily complex rules (rules which cannot usefully be done in pidgin).
 I don't know of any plugins that do this at the moment, though at least
 one exists for the opposite usage (denying everyone) and the code used
 there is exactly the same as would be needed here with only the signal
 callback return value needing changing.
