 "Roster" not "rooster", and the "roster entry" is the buddy list entry for
 your buddy that the server has.

 Line 157 of pidgin_xmmp_login.txt is the server returning your buddy list
 (the roster). You can see that some entries contain 'name="Something"'
 attributes while others do not. If pidgin is not correctly handling the
 name attribute (which would greatly surprise me) that is a bug that needs
 fixing, if however the issue you are reporting is for buddies for whom
 there is no name attribute then at login time we don't know their full
 names and individually fetching all of them is not currently something we
 do.
