 That's a bug in the pidgin-libnotify plugin then. A bug which isn't helped
 because the function the pidgin buddy list uses isn't part of the public
 API (but it can be duplicated with the public API).

 I also notice that the libnotify plugin mischaracterizes itself as a core
 plugin when it should be a GTK+ plugin as it uses pidgin API as well as
 libpurple API, which is something you may want to point out to them.
