 I sure understood it was disconnecting me.
 The question is why does it?

 The whole dialog before the disconnect seems to occur perfectly normally -
 Piding sends pings every minute, and the GTalk server instantly sends a
 reply back. Conversation goes on like this, until some seemingly random
 point were Pidgin sends its usual ping and the server instantly
 disconnects it.
