 Can you compare the number of files, directory size, etc. (number of files
 matters more for pidgin than directory size) between a pidgin user with
 whom you have this problem and a trillian user for whom you don't? Just to
 get a sense of relative performances here. I'm sure pidgin handles this
 significantly less well than it probably could, I'm just curious what the
 comparison numbers are.
