Comment:

 I've changed the theme to "MS-Windows". Didn't help.

 1. In the "Contacts" window all menu shortcuts are working.
 2. In the "Conversation" window:
 2.1. In the main menu there are a few shortcuts (Ctrl+M, Ctrl+F,...)
 2.2. In the context menu there are no shortcuts shown at all.
 2.3. Anyway neither shortcuts are working.

 (In case it is important, Pidgin is working under Vista.)
