#10692: ICQ File Transport broken
---------------------------+------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: Asinello | Owner: MarkDoliner
     Type: defect | Status: new
Component: ICQ | Version: 2.6.3
 Keywords: File Transfer |
---------------------------+------------------------------------------------
Having here WinXP Pro (SP3), I just installed Pidgin.

Before a chance of being happy (and posting a praise) here, it missed the
 second simple test:

Sending a file via ICQ would always end here in an error message saying
the transport had been aborted by the user on the othe side - which never
was true. No matter if that user clicked on "receive", and even when their
icq-options where changed to automaticly accept any incoming file.
We tried several files and options with the same result.
And yes, the silly Windows Firewall was set to allow anything.

Since I depend on icq-contacts (and a simple, smooth and easy file
transfer via icq as well) for several reasons, Pidgin is simply
uninstalled now. Why should I have an poor dove here in a cage that would
 not fly.
I just wanted to drop this msg to let you know about a possible bug.

 Sincerely
