 Sometimes (not always) when a person sends auth request and fill in the
 Reason field in Russian, I get a gibberish as if it's UTF printed as
 ASCII. It happens in Adium (macos client) and they have traced the issue
 to libpurple and sent me here from
 http://trac.adium.im/ticket/9383#comment (you can see all comment and
 screenshot there)
