 I believe Openfire is causing trouble here (IIRC, openfire does not
 properly treat nodes, the part before the '@', case-insensitively).  It
 looks like you may have the MUC in your buddy list (set to auto-join) with
 the room name 'EDN', whereas the server thinks you're in 'edn'.

 Could you try changing that and see if it helps?
