 Are you saying that this is working as intended?! That Pidgin should not
 be destructive and delete user's picture should be obvious… the right
 behaviour would be, say, to download the picture from server if one is not
 set locally.

 This was already reported earlier as bug #788 and closed as fixed (after
 discussion); why then has it been decided that it is fine to delete users'
 images without warning?
