 I upgraded Kubuntu to 9.10 (Karmic); under Jaunty, the tray icon had
 worked normally, but it now turns up as either blank or duplicating
 another icon in the tray (such as the network manager).  The icon works
 normally for bringing up the buddy list, but doesn't blink on new messages
 or change when I change status.
