 yeah, i like to write in big font because my eyes are bad, but if i do
 that, my IM window would somehow push my TEXT box to a minimum... i would
 have to click on it to make it reopen so i can see what i'm writing.

 Is there like a way to adjust that box? hopefully the picture i provided
 will show what i mean..

 Are you setting a larger font in pidgin (for your outgoing messages) or
 are you setting a larger interface font for Windows (or GTK+) in general?

 If you are setting the Windows interface font in general, how exactly are
 you setting it? That is, what specific Windows settings are you changing
 and what are you changing them to?

 You are seeing the remnants of a bug that we fixed as well as possible at
 the time, very few people still see the issue and most of them fix it by
 simply unsetting and resetting their Windows font settings, or by picking
 a slightly different font (which serves the same purpose as what they were
 using). As such we haven't been able to figure out what exactly is still
 happening.

 Typing in the input box however should cause it to expand correctly, is
 that not happening?
