#10759: Merged chats for two separate IDs

I use Windows Vista Home Premium (x86, 64 bit), and I only run Pidgin as
it installs with 2.6.3, and I've been having the most bizarre problem with
Pidgin. The chats from 2 buddies (one from AIM, one from Google chat) keep
merging. That is, when one buddy messages me, I'm chatting with them, but
when the other buddy messages me, it takes over that same chat tab and
merges what the second one says in with the chat log of the first one. IE:
{{{
(3:58:17 PM) Li--: ok i am heading home, i will be back soon to help
::grin::
(4:01:14 PM) Haven: kk
(4:01:43 PM) Li-- has signed off.
(7:06:28 AM) Li-- has signed on.
(7:12:33 AM) Li-- has signed off.
(7:57:34 AM) DrJ--: http://www.questionablecontent.net/
(7:57:34 AM) eshofwords <AUTO-REPLY>: Polyphasic ftw! Except for how I
might actually be dozing.
Leave it after the ding and I'll get back to you
}}}
(My alias in gchat is Haven, and my ID in AIM is eshofwords, I deleted the
rest of my friends IDs for their privacy. The time gap is from my going
AFK - Pidgin was still up and running for that time.)
I've never heard of something like this happening before, and I couldn't
seem to find any reference to it in the existing tickets. As if the issue
weren't confusing enough, it also only happens with those two buddies.
I tried uninstalling Pidgin and rebooting, but when I re-installed, Pidgin
still remembered all my IDs and away messages, and the problem persists.
I'm assuming I must need to uninstall/clear out something else as well,
but I don't know what it would be, or what might have corrupted to cause
this kind of issue.
Any help is appreciated!
