 pidgin requires a large download just to  bootstrap monotone.
 A 253mb file is  *larger*  than the history of some larger projects stored
 in version control systems such as git.

 Could it be possible to provide either

 1. a proper web interface to view changes AND get the CURRENT trunk /
 development point.

 2. provide an alternative to monotone.
