 One does not need to use the bootstrap db, one can simply use monotone
 directly (it may just take longer depending on your connection speed).

 What projects with as many files and as full a history have smaller
 repositories than that? I'm curious.

 Viewmtn is set up on developer.pidgin.im and can be used to view changes,
 I do not believe it supports fetching tarballs however.

 We have no intention to build daily tarballs since we do not support
 people using monotone unless they are developing.
