 I've experienced the following:

 I'm logged into Facebook with Pidgin 2.6.3, but none of the online buddies
 are shown in the list within Pidgin. It shows that I'm logged in, but the
 list is empty. Ie. I can't start any conversations from Pidgin.

 When I then log into Facebook and start a chat, then the person appears in
 the Pidgin buddy list and I can continue the conversation within Pidgin.

 People can also start conversations from Facebook and THEN they will
 appear within my Pidgin Facebook buddy list.

 This has not happened in previous versions.
