 Please try running Pidgin in valgrind and try to reproduce the issue and
 then upload the log; this looks like memory corruption of some sort.

 Possibly useful command-line arguments to valgrind are:
 {{{ --track-origins=yes --leak-check=full --leak-resolution=med --trace-
 children=no }}}

 This will produce a ''lot'' of output (on stderr, IIRC), so pipe it to a
 file.
