 Using Firefox 3.5.5, Pidgin 2.6.3, this Hotmail/MSN/Live mail bug is still
 consistent. I need to wireshark the URL sequence, but..

 Clicking on the "check hotmail" button (via menu or the alert that you
 have new unread items) takes me to the live mail login screen informing me
 of a login error. Even if I provide the correct password, it still fails.
 If I browse to mail.live.com, I get no login prompt (I typically have it
 configured on this machine to save my username & password) and can view my
 inbox w/o any problems.
