 Kind of hard to report this type of bug but just a datapoint.

 Pidgin used 150MB on WinXP before  a restart. After restart usage is down
 to 28 MB.

 I use Gtalk, Facebook chat, IRC and ICQ over a SOCKS-proxy (ssh-tunnel) as
 well as a few plugins.

 Saw a few closed reports about memory leaks for older versions of Pidgin.
 I have noticed these memory leaks for at least a year, hence they are not
 version specific.
