Comment:

 I'm using AIM and MSN.  I'm sure that I'm signed in, the area that should
 list the contacts is outlined by a gray line, like the box you get on the
 Windows desktop when selecting multiple icons.  The contact list is just
 blank, no message saying to sign in.
