Comment(by i-nZ):

 Happens to two of us who both use Pidgin 2.6.2 on Windows. One of us sees
 the other as offline even though he is available and online on his side.
 We can however exchange messages.

 After a while today though the guy who appears to me offline started
 getting error messages "Unable to send message: Not logged in." even
 though I was actually receiving the messages (despite the error msg!).

 The Debug log says:
