Comment:

 I strongly doubt that logging into the website is mandatory--I have not
 logged into Yahoo websites in over two years and can still use my
 accounts.  Even if that is the case, Pidgin is an instant messenger, not a
 web browser.  It's not Pidgin's responsibility to log into websites.
