 This feature is still needed in 2.6.2. I was about to file this same
 feature request. Please implement this!

 /j (without parameters) should also work, like /join.

 Also a "rejoin" context menu item would be appropriate for channels which
 have been /parted. (And should be greyed out while the channel is active)
