 When pidgin is run on my neighbor's machine it takes a minute and a half
 or longer for anything to come up. Then the window is black for at least
 30 seconds before anything is rendered. All the while the taskmanager says
 that the cpu usage is at around 3%-9%.
 I'm attaching the debug log.
