 I have experienced the same behavior as nosushi4you did in Ticket #10499

 Between yesterday and today, blocked buddies on the AIM protocol are
 appearing in their respective groups as online with a golden icon instead
 of appearing as offline. No changes were made to pidgin on my end before
 this new behavior. I'm currently running 2.6.2 on XP. Like nosushi4you
 after switching to "Allow All Users to Contact Me" and then back to "Block
 only the users below" the blocked users went offline. Upon restart the new
 behavior of blocked users appearing as online with a special golden icon
 returned.
