#10511: Error on Yahoo Chat Conference

I had reported an error about the Pidgin chat conference a while ago
I did test with 3 accounts on 3 computers.
I had mentioned two problems while we begin a chat conference. One was the
multiple invitations; the other was not seeing our own messages during the
conference.
What we normally use is Pidgin and Yahoo Messenger for a chat conference.
But in this case we have used Pidgin only and at the very beginning when I
want to begin a conference with one person I start normally and that
person accepts the invite but when I invite 2 others to the chat the first
person receives 2 other invitations even though he/she is already in the
conference and has accepted once an invitation at the beginning. The other
2 people also receive each two invitations simultaneously (that means 6
invitations are sent) and none of them know which one they have to accept,
if they accept the last invitation they would open a chat conference that
no users are in and I as the person who began the chat can see all of them
but they can't see each other because it would be like they are in
different chat rooms. If they accept the first invitation they would all
join the first and original chat conference room.
In the middle of the chat conference if a conference member invites
someone else to the conference again each of the chat members that were
previously in the room receive an invitation again and if they accept it a
separate chat conference opens for them and everyone automatically leaves
the original conference and joins another new conference where half of the
members are in one conference half are in another and some are in another
that means new conferences are created and each member depending the
invitation they accept enter a new chat conference (for example if 3
invitations are simultaneously sent for each member those who accept the
first one join one conference, those who accept the second join another
conference, those who accept the third invitation join a another
conference) which you could probably imagine what chaos that would cause!
All of the members in our case are using Pidgin, but sometimes when we
have members that are using Yahoo Messenger they sometimes (not always)
say that they receive multiple invitations too.
We do not always have a situation like this when we begin a chat
conference with Yahoo Messenger, but those in a chat session who are using
Pidgin they receive invitations each time members invite others into the
conference.
The ones who use Yahoo Messenger have told me that they get multiple
invitations only a few times and this does not happen all the time for
them.
This multi invite has been happening from before the new version of Pidgin
and it is not something new. We have tried to cope with it and warn people
who are going to join the chat conferences to only accept the first
invitation they receive and leave or cancel the others.
I have checked with three windows system computers, three accounts, all
using Pidgin. I sent an invitation from one account on Pidgin to another
account on Pidgin which received one invitation, but when I sent an
invitation to another account on Pidgin the first account received another
invitation too and the second account received two invitations. When the
first account accepts the second invitation another conference session
opens and when the second account accepts both of the invitations two
sessions open.
I have sent the log for all three of the computers and accounts separately
(1-the chat conference moderator, 2-the first account the chat conference
was initiated with, 3-the second account that was invited to the
conference afterwards) which I hope will help you understand what I'm
saying and check this issue.
*******
When we are in a chat conference at first everyone sees there own and
other members’ messages, but after a few minute after we have began the
conferences some of the members can't see there own messages (usually the
first account that the chat conference began with) even though other
members in the conference can see it.
The moderator account can see everything the whole time I mean all of the
members’ messages and its own. But members themselves one by one begin
having problems.
For example, the first account (ALFA) first can't see its own messages but
other members can and once ALFA changes the font from Farsi to English he
can see his messages again but after a few minutes even the Latin typing
can't be seen anymore by ALFA himself and then after a few minutes the
other members (except the conference moderator) can't see ALFA’s messages
either.
That same account that can't see its own message sometimes receives some
of the other members’ messages twice.
At some point even some of the conference members can't see the messages
of ALFA.
When the chat conference continues or when a new session begins the
members eventually either see the messages of: A) themselves, other
members and the moderator, B) themselves, some of the other members (not
all just some) and the moderator (sometimes they see each message twice),
or c) none of their own messages but other members and the moderator's
messages.
This problem has happened after the newest Pidgin update we had never
faced this problem. And it does not happen after about 100 messages it
happens at the very beginning of the conference and when we continue it
gets worse and more of the members say they can't see their own messages
or other members' messages.
**********
In the logs attached I've checked both of the problems explained above so
all 3 accounts should show the chat conference sessions and the problems
we are having. Since I was not sure how you’d use the logs and what exact
data you need to check this I attached all three of the accounts’ entire
.purple folder and purple-debug.log file.
File # 100 is from the first account that invited other to the conference
or what we call the moderator
File # 200 is from the second account that the moderator began the
conference with
File # 300 is from the third account that was invited afterwards.
We tried three chat conference sessions meaning after each time we faced
the problems I have explained above we closed the conference and began a
new one. We did this tree times.
