#10543: Pidgin seems to generate erroneous IRC services commands immediately after
opening a query to Chanserv
----------------------------------+-----------------------------------------
 Reporter: chf | Owner: elb
     Type: defect | Status: new
Component: IRC | Version: 2.6.2
 Keywords: /msg Chanserv /query |
----------------------------------+-----------------------------------------
 Steps to reproduce the bug:

 1) Connect to the IRC network "irc.german-elite.net" and enter a channel.

 2) Issue the command "/query chanserv" or "/msg chanserv <command>".

 3) Issue the command "access <#channelname> list

You will get an error message:

 (2009-10-20 00:57:22) CHF: access #linuxuser list
(2009-10-20 00:57:22) ChanServ: (notice) Es existieren keine
entsprechenden Einträge in der Access-Liste von #linuxuser.

"There are no appropriate entries in the access list of <#channelname>."

This happens ONLY on the first command entered manually in the newly
opened window. The first command (the one which opened the window in the
first place) succeeds, and any subsequent commands also succeed.

A server operator told me that the message is triggered, if you give an
erroneous array as the parameter after the keyword "list". So I suspect
Pidgin/Libpurple to append some probably invisible garbage to the first
command issued in a newly opened window.

I am using Version 2.6.2 on Debian Squeeze/Sid.

Regards, and thank you for the program, Christoph
