Comment:

 This is unfortunate but not entirely unexpected and certainly not
 inconsistent, ctrl-shift-backspace is triggering the "delete backward from
 cursor until the beginning of the 'paragraph'" action which in your first
 case is the entire line and in the second case is just "Hello ". I would
 have expected ctrl-shift-delete to go the opposite direction though.

 These bindings are also the GTK+ standards, we aren't doing anything with
 or about them.
