 Hello, this ticket follows the
 [http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/7458#comment:18 18th comment] on Ticket
 #7458.

 Currently, users have to set their local alias in the account options so
 that they don't see the "username at gmail/something says" instead of the
 user's real full name in the conversation window.

 The alternative I use is adding myself to my contact list, which
 incorrectly shows me on the contact list with my email as my alias, and
 doing a "Get Info" on myself after every pidgin start.

 Setting the local alias in the account options doesn't fix the contact
 list name, so I use the "Get info" method which works around both issues,
 but it has to be done every time I start Pidgin.
