Comment:

 This request is best implemented as a plugin.  Currently we as Pidgin
 developers are not interested in implementing it.  This ticket remains
 open as an invitation for someone to write a plugin fulfilling the
 request.[[BR]]A plugin can do this already if it wanted to, it would just
 need to have a way to send email.
