Comment:

 This request is best implemented as a plugin.  Currently we as Pidgin
 developers are not interested in implementing it.  This ticket remains
 open as an invitation for someone to write a plugin fulfilling the
 request.[[BR]]A plugin can do this if someone wants them back (though I
 really do not understand why someone would want this), virtually every
 user seemed to use this to get angry at people they thought were
 "ignoring" them or "insulting" them and/or was used to annoy other people
 by forcing a new window to pop back up by waiting for the notice to say
 "bye" or send some other message.
