 Hi!
 I'm from Russia and i'm having problems with auth message display in
 pidgin. It happens to me every time somebody wants to add me (ask my
 authorization), and pop-up apperars in the bottom of buddy list. I have
 detected (with several tools) that encoding is utf-8, and when auth is
 granted message is shown in the chat dialog in the right way.
 This problem happens to me both in Windows and in Ubuntu.

 I believe it's problem of locale misuderstanding.
