 I could see the argument that if you don't specify a port at all, it
 should use `getservbyname("socks", "tcp")` to determine the default port,
 but I really don't think that we should look up what was entered in that
 field.

 I think that behavior would be pretty nonstandard for a configuration
 setting in a GUI program.
